Believe me, you are not on your own, our culture is one that promotes the use of alcohol to deal with our problems:  95% of adults in the western world drink alcohol, the majority would not identify as an alcoholic, yet if you asked them to give up for a length of time, most people would be horrified at the idea;  This is because one way or another most of us have a dependency to alcohol.

The big question is, how do you break this cycle?  The answer is actually very simple….

The key to sobriety isn't willpower, it is to create a life you don't want to escape from, to create a life you love; and together we will do that.

What will I gain from sobriety?

EVERYTHING! You will not be missing out on anything. The hangovers, the embarrassing drunk moments, the bloat from too much alcohol, the lethargy, will disappear as you embrace your new-found life. From being a better parent, partner, colleague. To be more focused on self-development and maybe working towards a more successful and balanced life, you will only have increased happiness and motivation to look forward to. Why do I need an accountibility coach?

Because willpower on its own does not work! Whilst the thought of life without alcohol may terrify you at the moment, together we will shift your mindset so that you will understand that sobriety isn’t about denying yourself anything; but in fact, you will be gaining so much. It will get you some of the way but soon you’ll forget the reasons you set out on the journey. Environment and circumstances will pull you back to the life you’ve always known. I will help you gain clarity over your goals and together create a clear action plan for you to follow. We will focus on what is holding you back and how to overcome those obstacles. You will have my direct attention to mentor, guide and hold you accountable to stay focused and do as you say you’ll do. You’ll achieve your goals by working through a structured path and process including worksheets, access to resources, and meetings As a coach I am there to provide support, guidance, a little bit of peer pressure to hold you accountable and help you take specific steps to achieve your goals and change your relationship with alcohol I will help you shift your mindset to stay on track and to keep motivated to move forward and take back control of your life.

How can an accountability coach help me?

If you are curious about sobriety but are unsure of how to take action and how to move forward with your goal, I will help you stay focused by providing you with proven tools and techniques to help you achieve your goals, and create mindset shifts. Well directed self-reflection will help you find the road that’s right for you. I will work with you 1-2-1 to help direct your focus, help you to stay on track, and to keep motivated to change those habits. Together we will build you a life so full you won’t remember why you ever wanted to waste your time with alcohol. Together we will: Examine your thoughts and beliefs about drinking Identify the feelings you are trying to avoid Help you discover the person you really want to be Identify your triggers and find the right tools to cope with them Create a plan to help you stop drinking for good

So you have freedom from alcohol, what happens now?

After the initial 90 days, that is when the real fun starts! That is when we focus on the you that you’ve always wanted to be! Now that you aren’t beholden to alcohol we can work on your nutrition, fitness and wellbeing.
